around the world - Canada

Montreal & Quebec & Ottawa & Toronto

When we started our trip to Canada, I was filled with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. It was a monumental event for me, as it was the first time I would be going on vacation with both my partner and my sister (and her partner). The anticipation of exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories together was simply overwhelming.

Our adventure began in the charming city of Montreal. From the moment we stepped off the plane, I could feel the electric energy pulsing through the city streets. The city seemed to have a magnetic charm that effortlessly combined European sophistication with a spirited North American atmosphere. Every corner we turned revealed a new facet of Montreal's grandeur; the charming old buildings exuded a timeless elegance that blew me away.

As we continued our journey, we found ourselves in Quebec. As luck would have it, we were treated to an impressive sight of the majestic Queen Mary 2 anchored in the harbor. The city exuded a sense of history and grandeur, leaving me in awe of its centuries-old architecture. Each carefully crafted building seemed to tell stories from the past and weave a tapestry of culture and heritage. The highlight of my visit was a fascinating birthday trip to a nearby waterfall. The sheer beauty and raw power of this masterpiece of nature took my breath away - a moment I will remember forever.

Our next destination was Ottawa, a city that surprised me in more ways than one. Although smaller compared to other cities, it had an unexpected charm that captured my heart. Unfortunately, our time here was marred by an unfortunate accident involving my sweetheart. Despite this setback, the glimpses I gained of Ottawa's cultural treasures and vibrant atmosphere only strengthened my desire to return and explore the wonders of the city.

Finally, we reached the grand finale of our trip - Toronto. The city's landscape seemed to stretch into infinity, reflecting the vastness of its spirit. As we drove through the bustling streets, I couldn't help but notice the distinct American influence that permeated every aspect of the city. From the iconic CN Tower soaring into the sky to the grandiose spectacle of Niagara Falls, Toronto lived up to its reputation as a metropolis of dreams.

When I think back on our Canadian adventure, I am overcome with a whirlwind of emotions. The anticipation, the excitement, the occasional setbacks, and ultimately the overwhelming beauty we experienced together as a group made this a trip that will forever hold a special place in my heart. Canada revealed its treasures to us, and I am grateful for the memories we created in each great city we explored.
