Lombardy & Trentino

Lombardy, bordered by Switzerland and Austria, offers us quick access to captivating destinations. One of our beloved spots is Como and his lake, a charming border town overlooking the picturesque Ticino region. While Milan, the bustling metropolis, beckons shoppers, we found it to be a bit too modern and frenetic for our taste. Nevertheless, its awe-inspiring cathedral, the magnificent square, and the adjacent architectural marvels are simply breathtaking. On the other hand, Monza, a neighboring city, pleasantly surprised us with its hidden gems and left us delighted. Bergamo, especially the enchanting Bergamo Alto, is a must-visit destination, boasting awe-inspiring historical sites and sweeping views. Brescia and the beautiful Lake Garda remain irresistible magnets for tourists. Fortunately, we had the fortune of exploring these locales without being overwhelmed by crowds.
South of Lake Garda lies Mantua, a small and unassuming city that captured our hearts to such an extent that we extended our stay. Its unexplored beauty and tranquility are truly enchanting.

South Tyrol has captivated us time and time again, with our favorite being the enchanting town of Merano. Nestled amidst the mountains, it exudes a unique and irresistible charm. Not far from there lies Bolzano, which, though appealing to some extent, didn't quite capture our hearts like Merano did.
One of the reasons we frequently visit this region is the abundance of incredibly beautiful and reasonably priced wellness hotels. We simply can't resist indulging in their relaxing offerings. Moreover, South Tyrol's northeastern region is home to the majestic Dolomites - an awe-inspiring rock formation that leaves visitors spellbound in every season. During our visit in late summer, we enjoyed invigorating hikes and marveled at the stunningly vibrant landscape around us.
