You are not just a city, but "THE CITY" - MY CITY! 

There is so much to say about this fantastic, breathtaking and incredible city. When the Wall came down, I was 16 years old and saw firsthand how Berlin developed into a unified city.

Growing up in the east of the city, I got to know Berlin in all its facets. I have celebrated countless parties and experienced exciting adventures in Berlin. It seems like there is always something new to discover in Berlin, because the city never stays static - "everything stays different"!

​

Berlin offers so much and so much more. From the dazzling lights of glamour to the raw and authentic side of the city, from the greenery of parks and gardens to the imposing eyesores, from the traditional Biedermeier architecture to the dazzling world of art and culture - Berlin offers incredible diversity.

The city is deeply rooted in its very old history, also marked by the dark times of war and the division of Germany. But it is this history that makes Berlin so exciting and unique. In recent years, Berlin has experienced a kind of rediscovery, with many new innovative projects, start-ups and a thriving creative scene.

Berlin, I love you! You are my home, my place of awakening and inspiration. You are a melting pot of cultures, where people from the most diverse backgrounds and lifestyles come together. The diversity, openness and tolerance of Berlin's population make this city special. It is a place where everyone can be who they really are, without prejudices or restrictions.

Berlin, you are pure energy! You fascinate me with your lively art and music scene, your pulsating streets and your unique architecture. Whether Charlottenburg Palace, the Brandenburg Gate or the East Side Gallery - everywhere you can feel the pulse of this great city.

Berlin, you are and will remain my great love, my center of life. I am grateful that I grew up in this city and can call it my home. Berlin, you have touched my soul and enriched my life in so many wonderful ways.
